Victory to Mother Ganga – whoever meditates on you receives what the heart desires. Your radiance is like the moon and your water flows pure; whoever takes your refuge is carried across. You liberated the sons of King Sagar, as the whole world knows, and your gracious glance gives happiness to the three worlds. Whoever comes to your shelter even once is freed from the fear of Yama and attains the highest state. The devotee who sings your aarti daily attains liberation with ease.
