What the aarti says, in simple English.
With a mighty leap and a roar from his mouth, Hanuman shakes the earth, the oceans and the sky; the universe cracks, the three worlds tremble, and gods, humans and demons all run in fear. Victory to Shri Hanuman – by your grace I do not fear even death. The netherworlds thunder and echo back, the serpent who holds up the earth trembles in distress, mountains crack and the stars scatter – in Rama, Ramdas has understood the true meaning of strength.
Text as printed in the Marathi Arati Sangrah – sanskritdocuments.org (1999 edition, supplied by Pothipuran). Aartis are sung with small differences from region to region and family to family – if your family sings it differently, both are right.
