Meaning

What the aarti says, in simple English.

Victory to the beloved of Lakshmi, Lord Satyanarayan, who removes people's sins. He sits on a jewelled throne in wondrous beauty while Narad waves the lamp and bells ring. He appeared in Kali Yuga, gave darshan to a poor Brahmin disguised as an old Brahmin, and turned his home into a golden palace. He showed grace to the poor woodcutter and removed the troubles of King Chandrachud. The merchant got his wish but abandoned his faith, suffered the result, and then praised the Lord again. Moved by devotion, he takes new forms at every moment and fulfils the work of those who keep faith. The king who scorned the cowherd boys' worship in the forest later received his heart's desire from the compassionate Hari. He is pleased with sawaya prasad, bananas, dry fruits, incense, lamp and tulsi. Whoever sings this aarti receives the fruit of their wishes.
