Meaning

What the aarti says, in simple English.

Victory to Lord Ganesh, whose mother is Parvati and father is Mahadev. He has a single tusk, is full of compassion, bears four arms, wears vermilion on his forehead and rides a mouse. Devotees offer paan, fruits, dry fruits and laddoos while saints serve him. He gives sight to the blind, a healthy body to the sick, children to the childless and wealth to the poor. The poet, having taken refuge, asks that his service be made fruitful, and prays that the Lord protect the honour of the humble and fulfil every sincere wish.
