Sattvika
Presented as teachings given to and by sage Narada, it is almost an encyclopedia of dharma – covering vows, pilgrimage, the Vedangas (grammar, astronomy, ritual) and a summary of all eighteen Puranas.
A story from this Purana
King Rukmangada made all of his kingdom keep the Ekadashi fast. When the celestial beauty Mohini tried to make him break it, he was willing to sacrifice even his son rather than his vow – and Vishnu himself appeared to protect him.
