A story from this Purana
The generous demon king Bali ruled all three worlds. Vishnu came to him as Vamana, a small Brahmin boy, and asked for only three steps of land. Granted his wish, he grew immense – covering earth and heaven in two strides – and Bali offered his own head for the third, earning Vishnu's eternal blessing.
