Meaning

What the aarti says, in simple English.

When you are worshipped with fragrances, durva grass, sindoor and shami leaves, with plates full of laddoos, modaks and food, and with seed-syllable mantras, you grant the eight siddhis and nine treasures in a moment. Refrain: Victory to the auspicious Lord – where would I find the inspiration to describe your virtues? Those who meditate on you constantly have all their sins and obstacles removed; they gain horses, elephants, palanquins, servants, children and family, and at the end cross the ocean of worldly life. Those who take refuge and worship your feet with all they have keep their fame for as long as the sun and moon shine, and are victorious in the three worlds – such is your wonder. Gosavinandan is absorbed in remembering your name.
