Meaning

What the aarti says, in simple English.

Victory to the Bhagavad Gita – we wave the lamp before you, mother of the Vedas. You bring joy and remove sorrow; even Brahma does not know the depth of your glory; you lay hidden in Brahman and appeared from the Lord's mouth because of Arjuna's devotion. Seven hundred shlokas, the essence of Vyasa's words, spread over eighteen chapters – reciting even half a line and remembering you removes worldly bondage. How can a humble person like me know your limit? I come to you with single-minded devotion; O Mother, be kind and make me yours – so prays the servant of Rakhumadevi's lord (Vitthal).
